A FleetSite is a registry object for workload-cluster metadata, placement context, and optional edge settings.

  1. Create the site through an authenticated console session or authorized API.
  2. The controller records a registry FleetSite and its siteId.
  3. A workload cluster appears in the site after registration carries the matching fleet.site label.
  4. Optional domain bindings are derived from cluster configuration; do not manually treat them as an independent source of truth.

The management site is reserved for the hub and cannot be deleted. An ordinary registry site can be deleted only when it has no attached workload clusters.

Supported exposure and TLS pairs are documented in fleet-edge. Public DNS and edge access remain operator-managed and experimental.
